The parish is the center of faith formation for Catholics. Every person in your pews, every Catholic in your parish community…child or adult…is on their own journey toward Christ and a life of discipleship.

Frequently Asked Questions 23-24:

  • What should I bring to register my child?

    • Birth Certificate, Sacrament Certificates if applicable (Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, etc.) & payment (exact cash or check only)
  • When can I register?

    • Returning Students can register beginning June 5th, 2023. All non-returning registrations will open up July 1st, 2023.
    • Drop ins are welcome but appointments are encouraged to ensure there is someone available when you arrive.
    • Both online & in person registration will be available.

  • When do classes begin for the 23-24 year?

    • Wednesday classes begin: Wednesday, Septmeber 20th 
    • Sunday classes begin: Sunday, September 24th
  • My children's schedule doesn't fit their class schedule what options are there so my child doesn't fall behind Sacramentally?

    • Home School options are available for those who are unable to commit to our class schedules. Please see the schedule on the right hand side --->
    • This program requires the parent to be the teacher in home and to ensure all teachings are comprehended. Students receive textbook, syllabus and additional worksheets/activities. Students must turn in work each unit (about 5-8 weeks).
  • How many years is the 1st Communion Program?

    • 2 years (1 year = September to May)

  • How old must students be in order to begin the 1st Communion Program?

    7 years old or 2nd grade

  • How many years is the Youth Confirmation Program?

    • 2 years (1 year = September to May)

  • How old must students be in order to begin Youth Confirmation?

    • At least 14 years old
    • Students must be 16 by April 1st of the year they are expected to be confirmed. 
  • Does St. Joseph the Worker offer additional faith formation for those who are up to date on their sacraments?

    • Absolutely! We are pleased to offer faith formation for children 2nd grade to 12th grade as well as Adult Faith Formation Classes.
    • For students in Kindergarten and 1st Grade we will begin offering Children's Liturgy of the Word at the 9:45am Mass on September 24th, 2024. 
  • What are the tuition fees and what do they cover?

    • 1 student = $85, 2 students = $135, 3+ students = $175
    • Late fee (after Sept. 1st, 2023) = $25
    • Out of Parish Registration Fee = $40
    • Tuition fees cover all materials and supplies for class including textbooks (retreat fees are separate)
  • What are the retreat fees for 23-24 year?

    • 1st Confession Retreat: Saturday, February 24th, 2024: $15
    • Youth Confirmation Year 1 & 2: Friday, March 1st to Sunday, March 3rd, 2024: $150
    • 1st Communion Retreat: Saturday, April 13th, 2024: $15
