Music MinistryJoin together in song. Contact the choir director. Pro-Life RosaryUnite as a community praying the Rosary for the sanctity of all life from conception until natural death. Recitation of the Rosary. No experience required. Mentors provided. Contact the coordinators. Meet every Second Sunday of the month at 10:30 a.m. in the prayer garden. Eucharistic AdorationThe Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance. Frist Friday of the month-mass is at 7pm, and adoration follows until 9 pm. Finance CouncilAdvises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets. Parish Pastoral CouncilThe PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. Breavement TeamMen and women who assist at Mass or Funeral masses to enhance the worship of our faith community. Stations of the CrossHeld Friday evenings during Lent. Usher/UsheretteVolunteers who greet parishioners as they enter the church. They also assist people to their seat if necessary, and take up the collection. Youth MinistryWe currently serve High School aged students and intend to foster community, service, refuge and support for the youths of today. |
Altar ServerBoys and girls who assist the priest at the liturgy. Baptism PreparationPreparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith. Parishioners must be registered for at least THREE months in the parish. Packets must be entirely filled out and returned to the parish office along with a copy of the child's birth certificate, and a $50.00 donation. Godparents must be practicing Catholics and have copies of their Sacraments. Eucharistic MinisterExtraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound. Fellowship CommitteeVolunteers who coordinate social activities and gatherings of parishioners during the year. Flowers/Art and EnvironmentVolunteers who assist with decorating the parish for special occasions and Holy days. LectorReader who proclaims the Scriptures at Mass and other services. Liturgical Linen ServiceResponsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens. RCIARite of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments. SacristanDuties include preparing the altar for Mass and cleaning the altar following Mass. Food PantryThe Parish currently serves approximately 100 needy families from our community every month. Distribution is the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. |
